The “What About Us” singer went on to say that the “challenge” ended up being a blessing, because it gave her a brand new perspective on life, and teaches her it is okay to ask for assist.
“Life always reminds you that most setbacks are actually just stops and opportunities to reset and count the blessings,” she wrote. “Because of this challenge, I happened to meet a woman with cerebral palsy climbing a mountain 13,000 feet in her chair, (check out her documentary called ‘Out My Window’ on Vimeo, it’s awesome) I learned about a blind man reaching the top of Mount Everest. It’s my pleasure. The humility of someone so independent as myself would become physically incapable and dependent, even if for a few months. I am learning the knack of accepting help.”
She continued, “My journey will be swift and intentional, and I will make a full recovery. So I am very blessed. I admire those who face real and difficult challenges, and turn their situation into something magical or meaningful. In the meantime, shout out to all those on the journey of wellness, and those Those who make magic are impossible. People have a great day!!!! Let the healing begin.”
