Filming of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” has begun in Athens, Greece. Franchise author and star Nia Vardalos introduced on her Instagram web page, additionally revealing that she is directing this third installment. The movie will have a good time director Vardalos’ subsequent outing after 2009’s “I Hate Valentine’s Day.”
“We in Greece are filming ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3’ and we thank you for all the lovely messages you have just been waiting for,” Vardalos stated. The director’s caption added, “Thank you for Playtone, Gold Circle, HBO, and Focus!” Vardalos wrote within the submit’s remark. A lot of love and gratitude to all of you in your help as we waited for the shoot. Greece child. Greece!”

“My Large Fats Greek Marriage ceremony” was released in 2002 to a wide audience. Vardalos, who wrote the screenplay as well as starred, won an Oscar nomination for the film for the original screenplay.
Directed by Joel Zwick, “My Large Fats Greek Marriage ceremony” follows Fotoula “Toula” Portokalos (Vardalos), a young Greek-American woman who falls in love with a non-Greek man (John Corbett). Against her family’s objections, Tula married him, thus starting a funny struggle to get her family to accept him while she herself came to terms with her heritage.

Its massive success resulted in a sequel in 2016, “My Large Fats Greek Marriage ceremony 2.” “My Large Fats Greek Marriage ceremony 2” came in with a domestic box office gross of $60 million, and was panned by critics and fans alike.
Details of the plot for “My Large Fats Greek Marriage ceremony 3” are still being kept under wraps for now. The late Michael Constantine, who had played Tula Goss’ father in previous films, passed away last year and was unable to begin filming the new sequel before it even began.
“He advised me he would not be capable of be part of us for the third film and it was his want that we might proceed,” Vardalos wrote in an Instagram post last year. “I wrote the script to replicate Michael’s choice and can at all times cherish his final messages to me, hoping we would be filming quickly.”
